Advanced Boss Strategies

While normal mode bosses can often be defeated by spamming attacks and eating sandwiches, Insane Mode requires precise, wave-based survival strategies. This guide covers the most notorious difficulty spikes in the game.

The Necromancer (Insane Mode)

The Necromancer is widely considered the ultimate bottleneck for campaign completion. Many players abandon the game at this exact point. You face waves of powerful enemies before fighting the Necromancer himself.

Phase 1: The Waves

During the initial waves, you must use lightweight juggling to systematically eliminate the hordes of smaller enemies. Maintain maximum altitude to avoid devastating ground damage. Do not stay on the ground. Jump, catch an enemy, and juggle them to death before dropping back down.

Phase 2: The Brute

When the heavy Brute enemy spawns, he must be isolated. Subject him to the Elemental Infusion combo (Light, Light, Light, Heavy) to maintain a continuous stun-lock. This prevents him from interfering with the aerial juggling of lighter threats.

Phase 3: The Necromancer

In the final phase, the Necromancer himself descends from the ceiling. You must intercept him in the air. Initiating a lightweight juggle before he lands prevents him from casting his lethal ground-based magic. Keep him in the air at all costs.

The Evil Wizard (Final Boss)

The Evil Wizard is mechanically simpler than the Necromancer but requires high endurance and specific elemental management.

While his multiple forms (balloon, spider, floating wizard) are visually intimidating, they are highly susceptible to basic magic spam and arrow juggling. The community consensus dictates that the Evil Wizard operates more as a tedious endurance test than a strict mechanical challenge. Stay patient, manage your potions, and chip away at his health from a safe distance.
