Secrets and Challenges

Far Far West has zero Steam achievements. The developer has confirmed that platform achievements will not be added until the game exits Early Access and reaches version 1.0. Attempting to hunt Steam achievements will yield nothing.

Instead, the game uses an internal progression system called Challenges. These function identically to achievements: they track progress across sessions and serve as the sole unlock vectors for Hero Skins, Titles, Emotes, and exclusive Joker cards.

There are exactly 99 Challenges divided into six groups.

Secret Missions

These are the most valuable and well-hidden challenges in the game. Each biome map contains at least one unmarked mission that rewards a Unique Joker card or Mythic Hero Skin on completion. The game provides zero hints about their existence.

Desert Map: Cactus Day

Reward: Cactus Day Joker

Scattered across the Desert map are six pairs of separated, sentient Cactus families. You must locate all twelve cacti and reunite each pair. The cacti are spread across the entire map, often hidden behind terrain features or inside buildings. Check every corner of the map before triggering the boss.

Far Far North Map: Jerry the Snowman

Reward: Cariboo Skin (Mythic)

Three pieces of a sentient snowman named Jerry (head, torso, base) are scattered across the Far Far North map. Find all three pieces and reassemble Jerry at the designated location to complete the secret mission and unlock the Mythic Cariboo skin.

Canyon Map: The Medallion Door

Reward: Pick Pick Joker

Four hidden Canyon Medallions are placed throughout the Canyon map. Locating all four opens a secret door that houses the Pick Pick Joker. The medallions are small and easy to miss. Search high ledges, cave interiors, and behind waterfalls.

Area 41 Map

Reward: Anti-Gravity Falls Joker

Complete the unmarked secret mission objective on the Area 41 map. The specifics of this mission are community-sourced and involve interacting with specific environmental objects in the correct sequence.

Far West Map

Reward: Bell Shot Joker

Complete the unmarked secret mission objective on the Far West map.

Woodlands Map

Reward: Shroom Grave Joker

Complete the unmarked secret mission objective on the Woodlands map.

The Gravekeeper Challenge

Across all biomes, there are exactly 30 hidden graves. The Jungle map alone contains 10 of them. Finding all 30 completes the Gravekeeper Challenge.

Graves are small, easy to overlook, and often hidden behind destructible walls, inside caves, or on elevated terrain that requires spell-assisted movement (like Boing) to reach. Search every map systematically. Mark grave locations you find and cross-reference with your squad in co-op.

tip

The Gravekeeper Challenge tracks globally across all sessions. You do not need to find all 30 graves in a single run. Each grave you discover is permanently checked off your list.

Notable Non-Secret Challenges

These challenges are visible in the Challenges menu but their unlock conditions are not always obvious.

Playable Characters

The game features 22 playable robot cowboy skins distributed across five rarity tiers: Normal (7), Fine (4), Prime (5), Mythic (4), and Legendary (2). These skins, ranging from the default "John Doe" to the Mythic "Jeralt" and the bureaucratic "Otto," are purely cosmetic and provide absolutely zero statistical advantages.

Skins are unlocked by completing specific in-game Challenges or purchased directly with credits from the Saloon shop. The secret mission rewards listed above include some of the rarest Mythic skins in the game.
