Patch History
Gamble With Your Friends launched on Steam on May 1, 2026 and has shipped four updates since. V1.0.7 shut down the Time Machine sequence break and repaired physics softlocks, V1.0.10 rebuilt the economy to handle Quadrillions and Quintillions and fixed achievements broken since launch, V1.0.11 locked new lobbies to Friends Only by default, and the V1.0.30 major update in July added Endless Mode, per-save rule settings, and removed the balance cap entirely.
This timeline chronicles the rapid iterations of Gamble With Your Friends, from economy-breaking exploits to the stabilization of its network architecture.
July 24, 2026: V1.0.30 Major Updateโ
The largest post-launch update, arriving more than two months after the initial patch burst.
- Per-Save Rules: You can now set your own timer length, switch the timer off, change the difficulty, and choose starting money and tickets on a per-save basis. Several values the game once fixed are now yours to set.
- Endless Mode: A toggle that removes the run's ending. Turning it on disables the ending-related achievements, so finish those first.
- Cap Removed: The balance ceiling of 5 Quintillion is gone, and the game now supports far larger money values.
- Table Tuning: Crash and Baccarat payouts were adjusted, and 1P Poker had a duplicate-card bug and several other issues fixed.
- Settings and Input: Tweakable input mapping, a scroll sensitivity setting, and a higher maximum controller sensitivity.
- Other: Localization for 13 languages, a developer console, new cosmetics, a taller Jungle Gym, fixes for Penguin Cross animations and Body Shredder visuals, keypad rounding corrections, quota and save system bug fixes, and network code improvements.
May 11, 2026: V1.0.11 Update (Quality of Life)โ
A refinement patch aimed at reducing social friction and improving user comfort.
- Lobby Security: The default setting for newly created lobbies was corrected to "Friends Only", which the developers described as an oversight. This is separate from the Discord fix in V1.0.7.
- Input and Aesthetics: The mouse sensitivity range was widened to 0.1 through 500. Cosmetic meshes were adjusted to fit the player body better.
May 8, 2026: V1.0.10 Update (The "Quintillion" Economy Scaling)โ
The most significant mechanical shift of the launch month, driven by players pushing balances past what the interface could display.
- Astronomical Cap Increases: The UI and underlying math gained support for "Quadrillions" and "Quintillions", with a ceiling of 1 Quintillion (1Qi) for the Quota and 5 Quintillion (5Qi) for the balance. V1.0.30 later removed the balance cap.
- Achievement Logic Overhauls: The challenge-based Big Spender, Lucky Streak, and High Roller achievements were untriggerable and got fixed here. The challenge system was also adjusted so it stops handing out impossible challenges.
- Item Synchronization: Fixed items disappearing for some players when they picked them up.
- Physics Sandbox Expansion: Players could now score on the lobby basketball court with a teammate's head, a behavior the patch notes cheerfully encouraged.
- Other: Better money formatting and profit tracking, movement and ping keybinds, an anisotropic filtering option, a fix for Penguin Cross breaking at its final step, and the Quota no longer displaying on the final day.
May 4, 2026: V1.0.7 Update (Exploit Mitigation & Stabilization)โ
Within three days of launch, the developers pushed a critical stabilization patch to address severe logic breaks and physics engine softlocks.
- Chronological Exploit Fix: Blocked the "Time Machine" item from being used before the day timer starts, which the developers noted was breaking the game.
- Interface Resolutions: Removed the ability for players to interact with the "reset bets" UI element while the Roulette wheel was actively spinning. Payout calculations for multiple bets on Roulette were corrected.
- Softlock Repairs: Players are no longer stuck in the spawn box after selling their bodies at the Body Shredding Machine.
- Lobby Privacy: Random people can no longer join your session over Discord. Sessions became invite-only here, a full week before the V1.0.11 Friends Only default.
- Novelty Item Fix: Ratto and Maxwell no longer break the elevator.
- Achievement Adjustment: The "Lucky 7" challenge was renamed "Lucky Roll" and broadened to accept a 7 or an 11. This change did not stick. The live achievement today is "Lucky 7" again, requiring a 7 on the first roll, and no patch note records the reversion.
- Other: A film grain setting, an FOV default of 80, HDR defaulting to off, a working Bug Report button, and a fix for the bat inside the limo falling through the vehicle floor.
May 1, 2026: V1.0 Launch Deploymentโ
The title officially deploys to the Steam marketplace, introducing the foundational 1-6 player cooperative loop.
- The build launches with 17 games of chance, 15+ sketchy items, and four distinctly themed casino floors.
- Core mechanics, including the shared bank account and proximity voice communication, are established.
Frequently Asked Questionsโ
When did Gamble With Your Friends come out?
It deployed to the Steam marketplace on May 1, 2026. The launch build shipped the 1 to 6 player cooperative loop, 17 games of chance, 15+ sketchy items, and four distinctly themed casino floors.
Are my lobbies private by default now?
Yes. V1.0.11 on May 11, 2026 corrected the default for newly created lobbies to Friends Only, which the developers called an oversight. A separate earlier fix in V1.0.7 had already stopped random people joining your session over Discord.
What is the maximum amount of money you can hold?
There is no longer a practical cap. V1.0.10 added Quadrillion and Quintillion support with a 1 Quintillion Quota ceiling and a 5 Quintillion balance ceiling, then the V1.0.30 major update on July 24, 2026 removed the balance cap and added support for far larger values.
Why were the Big Spender and High Roller achievements broken?
The challenge-based Big Spender, Lucky Streak, and High Roller achievements were untriggerable. V1.0.10 fixed them and also adjusted the challenge system so it stops generating impossible challenges.
What happened to the Lucky 7 achievement?
V1.0.7 renamed it Lucky Roll and broadened it to accept a 7 or an 11, but that change did not last. The live achievement is called Lucky 7 again and needs a 7 on your first Street Craps roll, with no patch note explaining the reversion.
What did the V1.0.30 update change?
It added per-save rules for timer length, difficulty, and starting money and tickets, introduced an Endless Mode toggle that disables the ending achievements, removed the 5 Quintillion balance cap, tuned Crash and Baccarat payouts, fixed 1P Poker bugs, and added localization for 13 languages plus a developer console.
