Achievements

Monster Hunter Rise features a massive list of achievements. Unlocking all of them requires hundreds of hours of dedicated hunting, gathering, and crafting. Every Steam achievement is directly tied to an in-game "Guild Card Award."

Important: Achievements are not account-wide. You must unlock all awards on a single character save file to get the final meta-achievements. Also, beware of the Steam Synchronization Bug: if you play in Offline Mode, the game may award the Guild Card internally but fail to trigger the Steam achievement. A boot-up sync usually fixes this, but it is best to play online when hunting achievements.

Story and Progression Achievements​

You unlock these naturally by playing through the Village and Hub campaigns.

  • Kamura Amulet: Attain Hunter Rank 1 (Complete the mandatory opening tutorial).
  • Apex Shortsword: Repel or slay an Apex Monster during a Rampage mode quest.
  • Tempestuous Triumph Scroll: Defeat the Wind Serpent Ibushi during the Hub 7-Star Rampage quest.
  • Calamity Conqueror Scroll: Defeat Thunder Serpent Narwa (Base game final boss) in Hub 7-Star.
  • Aspiring Hunter Certificate: Complete every single Low Rank Hub quest.
  • Adept Hunter Certificate: Complete every single High Rank Hub quest.

The Ecologist Awards​

  • Gold Ecologist's Award: Photograph every standard endemic lifeform across all maps.
  • Silver Ecologist's Award: Photograph the five extremely rare, time-gated hidden endemic lifeforms. These spawn under specific conditions and require you to wait idle:
    • Snow-faced Fox: Shrine Ruins (Area 5 Gate roof, Nighttime).
    • Monksnail: Frost Islands (Area 8 Eastern Ocean horizon, Nighttime).
    • Quetzalcobra: Flooded Forest (Area 2/3 interior pyramid altar, Daytime).
    • Regitrice: Sandy Plains (Area 12 subterranean ruins, Daytime).
    • Hellbill: Lava Caverns (Area 11/14 interior volcano precipice, Nighttime).

The "Deft-hand Rod" Fishing Fallacy​

Warning: The Deft-hand Rod achievement requires you to manually catch one of every fish type using the interactive fishing minigame. Procuring fish passively through the Argosy submarine trading system does not trigger the achievement progression. You must manually catch High Rank exclusive variants like the Supreme Brocadefish.

The Crown Grind​

The most notorious achievements in any Monster Hunter game are the Crown achievements.

  • Mini Crown Plaque: Obtain all base-game small gold crown monster sizes.
  • Gold Crown Plaque: Obtain all base-game large gold crown monster sizes.

Monsters spawn with slight size variations. A miniature crown means you hunted the absolute smallest version of that monster possible. A gold large crown means you hunted the absolute largest.

Tips for Crown Hunting:

  • Do not farm crowns in standard quests if you can avoid it. The spawn rates for extreme sizes are heavily reliant on RNG (often below 3%).
  • Instead, target specific Event Quests (like the musical crossovers). Capcom hard-coded many of these quests to guarantee crown-sized spawns, circumventing hundreds of hours of RNG frustration.
  • If you must farm standard quests, you can "size" a monster by standing next to a specific body part and measuring it against your hunter's height. Abandon the quest immediately if it does not look exceptionally scaled.
