Legendary Pals
Legendary Pals are Level 50+ creatures found in fixed overworld locations. They serve as top tier combatants and unmatched base workers. Capturing them requires endgame gear, high tier spheres, and a fully upgraded Statue of Power.
Preparation
Before hunting Legendaries, make sure you have:
- Ultra Spheres or Legendary Spheres in bulk (at least 30)
- A maxed Statue of Power (collect Lifmunk Effigies from across the map)
- Endgame armor appropriate to the biome (heat resistant or cold resistant)
- A team of Pals with the correct elemental advantage
- Cooked food and healing items for a prolonged fight
Lower the Legendary's health as much as possible before throwing spheres. Apply a status effect like Freeze or Poison for a further capture bonus. Always aim for the Back Bonus by circling behind the target.
Frostallion (Ice)
Location: Deep northwest of the Astral Mountains at coordinates (-357, 508).
Frostallion is the "Legendary Steed of Ice" and a mandatory capture for players preparing to fight Dragon type raid bosses. Its arena is an open frozen lake surrounded by snowdrifts.
Bring high level Fire type Pals to break through its defensive thresholds. Frostallion's blizzard attacks cover a wide area, so keep moving laterally. A ranged weapon lets you deal consistent damage while your Fire Pals draw aggro.
Jetragon (Dragon)
Location: Extreme northwest of the Mount Obsidian volcanic region at coordinates (-789, -321).
Jetragon possesses the highest base flight speed in the game, making it the most desirable mount for open world exploration. The arena sits on an exposed volcanic ridge with no natural cover.
Bring high durability Ice type Pals. Jetragon's attacks are fast and hit hard, so recall your Pals frequently to prevent deaths. Focus on sustained damage rather than burst and keep your distance from its dive attacks.
Paladius (Neutral) and Necromus (Dark)
Location: Northern Desiccated Desert at coordinates (446, 681).
These two Legendaries share the same spawn point. Engaging one typically aggros the other, so be prepared to fight both simultaneously or lure one away before engaging.
Paladius is a Neutral type with no elemental weaknesses except Dark. Bring Dark type Pals to deal bonus damage.
Necromus is highly valued in the raid meta. Its natural combat AI continuously charges toward enemies, positioning itself directly underneath large raid bosses. This behavior causes it to avoid most overhead laser attacks entirely, making it one of the best raid Pals in the game. Bring Dragon type Pals to counter Necromus.
Focus on capturing Necromus first. Its combat AI and Dark typing make it immediately useful for raid boss farming.
Post-Launch Legendary Variants
Several Legendary variants were added in post-launch updates:
