Phasmophobia Achievements and Trophies Guide
Phasmophobia has 54 achievements on Steam. Twenty-four of them are one-per-ghost identification unlocks, and the rest cover contract milestones, money spent, equipment tiers, daily and weekly tasks, prestige, and the Apocalypse Challenge. Most arrive naturally as you play. The three Apocalypse achievements are the hard ones, requiring solo runs on Sunny Meadows Mental Institution at 6.00x, 10.00x, and 15.00x reward multipliers, and Custom Difficulty does not unlock until Account Level 50.
Phasmophobia has 54 Steam achievements, mirrored as trophies on console. They track contract milestones, money spent, equipment tiers, daily and weekly tasks, prestige, ghost identification, and the Apocalypse Challenge.
This guide lists every achievement along with unlock requirements and completion tactics.

Ghost Identification Achievementsโ
Twenty-four achievements follow the pattern "<Ghost> Discovered", awarded for successfully identifying that ghost for the first time and surviving the contract. They cover the Spirit, Wraith, Phantom, Poltergeist, Banshee, Jinn, Mare, Revenant, Shade, Demon, Yurei, Oni, Yokai, Hantu, Goryo, Myling, Onryo, The Twins, Raiju, Obake, The Mimic, Moroi, Deogen, and Thaye.
The Twins and The Mimic are worded slightly differently, asking only that you identify them for the first time.
There are 30 ghosts in the game but only 24 identification achievements. The six added since December 2025, namely the Obambo, Gallu, Dayan, Kormos, Aswang, and Deildegast, have no achievement attached. Do not treat the achievement list as a ghost roster.
Do not lock in a ghost by picking its Ghost Type on Custom Difficulty to farm one of these achievements. That setting forces the reward multiplier to 0x, and since v0.19.0.0 a 0x Custom Difficulty contract no longer counts toward achievement or leaflet progress at all.
The Deogen is the one ghost with a spawn requirement. The host needs to be at Prestige 0, Level 30 or beyond before it can appear at all. Every other ghost has equal spawn weight, except that a newly added ghost gets a temporarily boosted rate for its first few weeks.
The Apocalypse Challenge Trophiesโ
The Apocalypse Challenge requires completing a solo contract on Sunny Meadows Mental Institution at a high enough reward multiplier. Custom Difficulty, which those multipliers require, unlocks at Account Level 50.
| Trophy | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Bronze Apocalypse | Complete Sunny Meadows solo at 6.00x or above |
| Silver Apocalypse | Complete Sunny Meadows solo at 10.00x or above |
| Gold Apocalypse | Complete Sunny Meadows solo at 15.00x |
"Complete" means all four objectives done, ghost media captured, and you leave alive. A 15x run that ends in death, or with an empty journal, pays nothing toward the trophy.
Zero evidence is not itself a requirement. Only the multiplier is. The built-in Apocalypse I preset ships with 2 evidence and Apocalypse II with 1. Zero evidence only becomes unavoidable at Gold, because with one evidence still enabled the multiplier ceiling is about 13.10x.
Gold Apocalypse Challenge Settings (15.00x Multiplier)โ
The simplest route is the built-in Apocalypse III preset, which is exactly 15.00x. If you build it by hand:
- Player: Starting sanity 0%, sanity pill restoration 0%, player speed 50%, sprinting off, flashlights disabled, sanity drain 200%.
- Ghost: Ghost speed 150%, grace period 0 seconds, hunt duration High, evidence given 0, ghost roaming High, changing favorite room High, activity Low, kills extend hunts High.
- Contract Parameters: Sunny Meadows, setup time 0 seconds, fuse box broken, 0 hiding spots, doors starting open High, truck sanity and activity monitors disabled.
Two settings decide whether this works. Player speed must be 50%, not 75%. 75% is the Apocalypse II value and lands you at 14.60x, which is Silver. And setup time must be set to 0. If you leave it at the 300 second default while changing everything else, rewards hard-clamp to 1.00x and the run counts for nothing at all.
Winning Strategy for Gold Apocalypseโ
- Reroll Side Objectives: Restart until your whiteboard objectives are low risk, such as "Detect EMF," "Smudge ghost," or "Prevent a hunt with a Crucifix." Every objective has to be completed, so a bad draw is worth restarting for instead of working around.
- Identify Ghost by Speed and Footsteps: Listen to footstep cadence from the chapel during the zero-grace-period hunt. Fast ghosts (Revenant, Deogen, Thaye, a fresh Deildegast) or distinct behavior ghosts (Hantu cold breath, Raiju electronic speed) are easiest to confirm.
- The Deogen Looping Meta: Reroll contracts until you get a Deogen. A Deogen scales down to 0.4 m/s within 2.5 meters, so you can loop it around chapel pews indefinitely even at 50% player speed against a 150% ghost. The Deogen only spawns if the host has reached Prestige 0, Level 30, so this route is not available to a fresh account.
- Capture and Escape: Light Incense to blind the ghost at close range, capture your ghost media during the window, log your guess in the journal, and leave in the truck to claim the trophy and badge.
Since v0.18.0.0 (July 2026) any ghost media counts for the Apocalypse challenge, not only a photo. A video or a sound recording works just as well, which gives you more ways to satisfy the requirement under pressure.
Frequently Asked Questionsโ
How do you get the Gold Apocalypse trophy in Phasmophobia?
Complete a solo contract on Sunny Meadows Mental Institution at a 15.00x multiplier, finishing all four objectives, capturing ghost media, and leaving alive. The simplest route is the built-in Apocalypse III preset. Building it by hand, the two settings people get wrong are player speed, which must be 50 percent and not 75, and setup time, which must be 0 or rewards clamp to 1.00x.
What level do you need for the Apocalypse Challenge?
Account Level 50 or higher. That is the level that unlocks Custom Difficulty, which the challenge multipliers require.
Which ghost is easiest for a Gold Apocalypse run?
The Deogen. It scales down to 0.4 m/s within 2.5 meters, so you can loop it around chapel pews indefinitely even at 50 percent player speed against a 150 percent ghost. It only spawns once the host has reached Prestige 0, Level 30.
How do you unlock the Fully Loaded achievement?
Unlock all tier three equipment. The last tier three unlocks sit at Level 80, and buying one of every item across all three tiers runs past $100,000, so this is a long-term goal.
What is the Doom Slayed achievement?
Get killed by a Demon ability within the first minute of a contract. It is hidden until you unlock it, and it has nothing to do with Tarot Cards.
