Achievements
Pixel Piracy features a small but highly specific set of 11 Steam achievements. Many older community guides list crossover achievements from Terraria (e.g., "Kraken Slayer", "Hoarder", "Pirate King"). These do not exist in the modern 64-bit Steam client.
Below is the verified list of actual achievements you can unlock in the game.
Progression and Core Loop
These achievements unlock naturally as you engage with the core mechanics of character creation, hiring, and basic navigation.
| Achievement | Unlock Condition | Global Completion |
|---|---|---|
| Captain's Logs | Create a character. | 96.5% |
| Land Ho! | Reach an island or enemy ship. | 61.9% |
| Blood on the Sand | Kill an enemy pirate or animal. | 60.6% |
| Man O' War | Build your first ship. | ~ |
| Scurvy Dogs | Hire a pirate. | ~ |
| Booty | Loot a chest on an island. | ~ |
| Walk the Plank | Fire a crew member. | ~ |
| To the Depths | Sink an enemy ship (Requires using the "Plunder" command). | ~ |
Endings and Endgame Challenges
These achievements track the ultimate conclusion of your run, whether in victory or defeat.
| Achievement | Unlock Condition | Global Completion |
|---|---|---|
| A Pirate's Life for Me | Win the game. This requires tracking down and defeating all 4 Legendary Pirates at the corners of the map. | ~ |
| Dead Men Tell No Tales | Lose the game. This occurs when your Captain dies in combat, provided no other crew member has the "First Mate" skill active. | ~ |
| Hell | Complete the multi-stage event on Suicide Island without dying. This is an extremely difficult endgame challenge added during the 64-bit revival. | 0.3% |
[!WARNING] Legacy guides often list "Capture your first enemy ship" as an achievement. The modern equivalent is To the Depths, which specifically requires you to sink the ship using the Plunder command, rather than capturing it to replace your own vessel.
