The Ecology of Corruption

The Corruption is not a static spawn point for nightly waves. It is an active, rapidly expanding ecological system that mirrors your own village building. Understanding how the corruption grows is the only way to stop it permanently.

Drones and Graveyards

Drones serve as the corrupted equivalents of your human villagers. They possess extremely low physical health but spawn continuously to harvest local resources. The drones use these resources to construct Corrupted Graveyards and corrupted defensive towers. The volume and intensity of monsters generated each night are directly proportional to the total number of completed corruption structures on the map.

Because drones respawn almost instantly upon death, harassing them with towers or combat units is statistically inefficient and wastes your ammunition.

Firepit Creeping

Pushing back the Corruption requires a deliberate, methodical strategy known as "Firepit Creeping." You must construct chains of Large Fire Pits directly into the purple corrupted tiles to generate a radius of uncorrupting influence.

Protect these forward firepits with small walls. The firepits gradually cleanse the land, allowing you to build further out and reclaim territory for your village.

Drone Imprisonment

Advanced tactics ignore direct combat with drones entirely. Use the "Grab" spell to pick up wandering drones and drop them into inescapable natural prisons, such as completely enclosed rock formations. Trapped in these environments, the drones remain alive but functionally useless. They will attempt to build structures they can never finish due to a lack of mixed resources.

Because the game's entity cap registers them as living, the Corruption is unable to spawn replacements. This permanently cripples the enemy's workforce and prevents new graveyards from appearing on the map.
