God Powers and Essence Management
You play an active role in the survival of your village. Your cursor represents your divine reach, and your essence serves as the fuel for miracles and destruction. God powers turn a guaranteed defeat into a narrow victory, provided you manage your resources intelligently.
Active Defense During Nighttime
Do not sit back and watch your towers do all the work. When the undead attack, your active participation saves precious resources. Grab enemies that bypass your killbox and drop them far away from your walls. This gives your towers more time to fire and saves your villagers from direct combat.
Use offensive spells to eliminate clustered enemies. A well-placed Meteor spell (which costs 200 influence) wipes out an entire wave, saving your towers from consuming their ammunition. Save your heavy offensive spells for the largest groups or the strongest boss variants. Do not waste essence picking off single, weak zombies.
Supporting the Village
God powers extend beyond combat. Use your abilities to accelerate village production. Grab resources from distant nodes and drop them directly into your storage bins. This eliminates travel time for your organizers and speeds up construction projects.
You control the flow of life. Use healing spells to save dying villagers during the aftermath of an attack. Revive fallen guards immediately to maintain your defensive line. Your villagers are your most valuable resource. Keep them alive at all costs.
Essence Generation and Management
Every spell and action costs influence. Your maximum influence capacity dictates how many spells you can chain together and is determined by a strict formula: (Total Living Villagers * 40). Influence regenerates via Essence, a glowing green resource collected dynamically by your cursor from fallen trees, mined rocks, or dead enemies.
Do not drain your influence completely during the day. Nighttime brings unexpected challenges, and an empty pool leaves you powerless against a major breach. Maintain a reserve pool specifically for emergency healing or a panic Meteor cast.
Build essence collectors and place them strategically around the map. These structures gather passive energy from the environment. Protect them, as they form the backbone of your magical economy. A strong network of collectors allows you to cast spells freely and keep your village secure.
The Arcane Arsenal
Your spellbook is highly diverse. Understanding the nuances of each ability prevents massive influence waste during sieges.
- Grab: The foundational utility spell. It costs an initial 40 influence, plus an escalating cost for every server tick the entity is held in the air. Use it to rescue stranded nomads, reorganize misplaced resources, or execute enemies by dropping them into deep water. This is mathematically superior to expensive offensive spells.
- Recall: Teleports a designated group of villagers and resources directly to the village center. However, casting this causes temporary confusion among the subjects and actively damages their Faith rating. Rely on Grab instead whenever possible to avoid psychological penalties.
- Earthquake: An incredibly expensive spell costing 2000 influence. It generates violent tremors across a massive 32-tile radius. Use it to damage corruption buildings from afar without triggering the defensive mob-spawning mechanic that usually occurs when human villagers manually attack a graveyard.
- Banish: Costs 500 influence to teleport a target to a random location in the region. This is statistically inefficient and often puts enemies closer to a vulnerable flank. Ignore this spell and use Grab instead.
