Patch History

Roboquest's mechanics, economy, and content volume evolved drastically after its launch. To understand why certain community builds or strategies may no longer work, review this timeline of major updates that defined the game's lifecycle up to the cessation of active development in early 2026.

Version 1.0: Official Launch (November 2023)

The game officially exited Early Access, delivering the finalized campaign structure, the implementation of the Guardian difficulty tiers (Guardian 1 through 4), and the finalized Basecamp progression economy. This update removed legacy grind-heavy currency systems in favor of the finalized Golden Wrench and Powercell economy.

Version 1.1: Quality of Life and Balancing (January 2024)

This update focused on stabilizing the 1.0 experience. It resolved major multiplayer connectivity issues and delivered sweeping weapon tuning. It adjusted damage output, impact force, and affix probabilities for dozens of firearms (including heavy adjustments to the Raptor SMG, Junk Rifle, Typhoon Minigun, and Beluga Cannon), heavily shifting the prevailing weapon meta.

Version 1.2: The Arsenal Update (April 2024)

A major economic overhaul, the Arsenal Update introduced "Crystal Powder." This powder is harvested at the end of levels containing a Corrupted Crystal that you have previously claimed. To use this new currency, the update introduced the Basecamp NPC, Willy Wonder, who allows you to spend Crystal Powder to upgrade weapon rarity from Epic directly to Fantastic.

Version 1.3: The Super Update (June 2024)

This massive content drop introduced "Superbot," the game's seventh playable class, who consumes standard weapons instead of equipping them. The update also expanded the game's routing by adding the "Harmony Square" level (an alternate path through the Haven City biome) and introduced the "Captain Mc Slice" unique melee weapon.

Version 1.4: The Dead Cells Update (August 2024)

A high-profile crossover event, this update integrated "The Collector" from Dead Cells into the Roboquest universe. The Collector operated as a hidden NPC requiring specific offerings to unlock crossover-specific rewards.

Version 1.5: The Endless Update (November 2024)

Arguably the most significant structural addition post-launch, this update introduced "Endless Mode," a rigorous, infinitely scaling challenge mode. This mode featured compressed, enemy-dense alternate level variants (like Corrupted Canyon), introduced the "Singularity and Glitch" mutator system, and debuted the grueling Duo-Boss encounters. It also added the highly requested "Save & Quit" feature.

Console Expansion and End of Development (2025 to Early 2026)

In May 2025, Roboquest launched on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, introducing a massive influx of new players. In early 2026, RyseUp Studios officially announced that Roboquest would receive no further content updates. Version 1.5.x is the definitive, final state of the game.
