Achievements

Tricky Towers has a simple achievement list, but several of the challenges demand absolute mastery of the physics engine and puzzle mode mechanics.

This guide breaks down the most difficult achievements and the strategies required to unlock them.

Progression and Modes

These achievements unlock naturally as you play through the single-player trials and online multiplayer.

  • Baby steps: Unlock the apprentice trials.
  • Doing good: Unlock the pro trials.
  • On the right track: Unlock the expert trials.
  • Almost there: Unlock the master trials.
  • Cup winner!: Win an online cup.
  • Match winner: Win an online match.
  • Mode master: Win an online game of every mode in every difficulty at least once.
  • Survivor: Survive the 8th wave in survival special mode or in endless survival challenge.

Stacking Challenges

These require specific, often difficult feats of building.

  • Architect: Get a brick count of 20 or higher in a puzzle match. Focus on laying pieces completely flat and saving your straight blocks for the very top layer.
  • Brick stacker: Place 66 bricks in endless survival challenge.
  • Shadow stacker: Build a tower of 99 bricks in endless puzzle mode. This is a brutal endurance test. Your foundation must be flawless from the first block.
  • 99 Bricks!: Build a tower with 99 bricks in Endless Survival Challenge.

Gameplay Feats

These require you to manipulate the physics engine or use magic in highly specific ways.

  • Trickster: Do a 180 with the roof in race mode. You must hit the physics engine hard enough with an uneven stack that the finish line roof flips completely over.
  • Close call: Win an online survival match with 1 left.
  • Show off: Win an online normal survival match without using any magic.
  • Green fingers: Connect 7 bricks with 1 ivy spell. Build a dense, highly interlocked section of your tower, then drop an ivy block right into the center of the cluster.
  • You stay there!: Stomp on 5 bubbled bricks without dropping them in the water.
  • In the moonlight: Drop the moon.
  • All-round magician: Use all magic spells once.

Trial-Specific Challenges

These require completing specific single-player trials under severe restrictions.

  • Bigger than magic: Finish trial #21 without using any magic.
  • Bare bones: Complete trial #40 without using any magic.
  • Save some room: Finish trial #20 one unit below the zapper.
  • Speed. Precision.: Win a normal race match within 80 seconds without dropping any bricks. Do not build a wide foundation here. Speed is more important than extreme stability.
  • Like a glove…: Finish trial #6 with 3 hearts left without picking up a spell.
  • Think fast!: Finish trial #8 with at least 52 seconds left on the clock.
  • No need to rotate: Complete trial #30 without rotating a brick. This requires entirely rethinking your placement strategy and relying heavily on wedging.
