DLC and Cosmetics

Following its launch in August 2016, Tricky Towers received several post-launch expansions focusing entirely on cosmetic upgrades. These expansions allow you to customize your wizard avatar and change the visual texture of the falling blocks.

None of the DLC packs alter the physics engine, introduce new achievements, or provide mechanical advantages in competitive play.

Avatar Expansions

The default game features four elemental wizards. You can expand your roster with these packs:

  • Spirit Animal Pack (August 2016): Released alongside the base game, this pack introduces four animal-themed wizard avatars to replace the default human designs.
  • Indie Friends Pack (July 2017): A major crossover expansion that introduces six new playable avatars directly licensed from prominent independent titles. The roster includes:
    • Thane (Armello)
    • Clunk (Awesomenauts)
    • Fish (Nuclear Throne)
    • Candyman (Lethal League)
    • Last of the Order (TowerFall)
    • Octodad (Octodad: Deadliest Catch)

Cosmetic Brick Textures

Over the first half of 2017, the developers released a series of texture modification packs. These alter the visual feedback of the tetrominoes, which can impact visual processing during high-speed play, though the physical hitboxes remain identical.

  • Galaxy Bricks (January 2017): Replaces the standard stone and wood textures with deep space and nebula themes.
  • Candy Bricks (February 2017): Turns the blocks into oversized sweets and chocolate bars.
  • Gem Bricks (March 2017): Changes the blocks into translucent, crystalline structures.
  • Holographic Bricks (May 2017): Gives the blocks a wireframe, digital aesthetic.

Original Soundtrack

The standalone Original Soundtrack DLC contains the complete audio score for the game. Like the cosmetic packs, it does not alter gameplay.
